Privacy statement Cardon & Company

Introduction

  1. Cardon & Company B.V., a limited company under Dutch law, established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, (hereinafter “Cardon”), attaches great importance to the responsible handling of personal data of users of its website www.cardon.nl (hereinafter “Users”).

  2. Cardon processes personal data of Users carefully and with due observance of the provisions laid down by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  3. In this Privacy Statement, Cardon informs Users about the way Cardon processes their personal data and how they can change or object to it. This Privacy Statement only applies to the services offered by Cardon at www.cardon.nl.

Article 1: Explanation of personal data and purposes for the processing thereof

Personal data

  1. Cardon distinguishes between different types of Personal Data:
    (A) Communication data: Name and email address of a User, and resulting correspondence between Cardon and that User. Communication data may result from direct email contact, or through filling out the Contact Form on www.cardon.nl
    (B) Private data : passport copies, rental contracts, or any other similar document required by Cardon for the identification of an individual.

  2. All Personal Data of a User is stored on Cardon’s computer systems, cloud and email inboxes.

  3. Cardon is at all times responsible for the management of the Personal Data provided by the User and will make every effort to protect those Personal Data. In the event of a data breach, Cardon will immediately notify the User of that event via the email address known to it and will make every effort to prevent further dissemination of that Personal Data.

  4. The User has the right at all times to have the Personal Data provided by him / her to Cardon presented in an orderly manner from Cardon (“right of inspection”). At the first request of a User, Cardon will forward his / her Personal Data to a third party to be designated by that User (“right to data portability”) or remove it entirely from its system (“right to be forgotten”).

  5. Any questions a user may have regarding their Personal Data can be sent to support@cardon.nl. These questions will be answered within 2 working days.

    Legal Basis

  6. Because a User requests a service and provides personal data in categories A and B for this purpose, Cardon is authorized to use and process this personal data for the performance of the service in connection with which the personal data is provided as referred to in Article 6.1 (b) of the GDPR.

  7. The personal data will not be used for any other purpose than the purpose as stated in this statement, unless the User has given explicit consent for a different use of these Personal Data.

    Fraud, hacking and other malicious behaviour by users

  8. If necessary, Cardon will use data from Users to investigate or prevent fraud. Upon request, Cardon will hand over Personal Data as stated under 1.1 to the police, judicial authorities and other investigative services or third parties involved, if it is obliged to do so by law, a court order, or if necessary to prevent criminal offenses or unlawful behavior.

Article 2: Transfer of data to third parties

  1. Cardon does not provide personal data to third parties, unless:
    a) The transfer is made to a third party engaged by Cardon for the purposes listed in this Privacy Statement, with which third parties Cardon has entered into an agreement that specifies how this Cooperation Partner handles your personal data in a responsible manner;
    b) Cardon is obliged by law to pass on personal data to competent authorities.

Article 3: Protection of data

  1. Cardon uses - as may be required of it - appropriate technical and organizational security procedures, among other things to ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to data and to prevent the loss, unlawful use or modification of the information Cardon receives.

Article 4: Availability and modification of data

  1. Users can at any time request access to their personal data that Cardon processes. Users can also request to have data changed or removed. For this, users can send an email to diederick@cardon.nl.

Article 5: Cookies

  1. Cardon does not use cookies on its website www.cardon.nl.

Article 6: Liability Cardon

  1. This Privacy Statement only relates to the personal data that Cardon processes as mentioned in article 1.1. Cardon does not accept any responsibility or liability for (the operation and / or content of) websites or services of third parties.

Artikel 7: Change of Privacy Statement

  1. Cardon reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement. Any adjustment will be announced via www.cardon.nl. By using www.cardon.nl after changes, you agree to any amended Privacy Statement. Keep an eye on this page for all changes.
